Chromaform, Inc. ("Chromaform," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Chromaform photo editor application for iOS (the "App") and the website chromaform.art (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Photos and Image Data
Your photos never leave your device. All image processing — including RAW decoding, the Vulkan compute pipeline, AI-powered features (auto-adjust, smart masking, color matching, denoise), and export — runs entirely on your iPad or iPhone. We do not upload, transmit, access, or store your photos on any server.
Data We Do Not Collect
The App does not collect, transmit, or store:
- Photos or image data
- Photo metadata (EXIF, GPS location, camera info)
- Edit history or recipes
- Facial recognition data or biometric information
- Contact information from your device
- Browsing history or usage analytics
On-Device AI Processing
Chromaform uses Apple's CoreML, Vision framework, and on-device neural networks for features including auto-adjust, person segmentation, face landmark detection, depth estimation, and color matching. All AI inference runs locally on the device's Neural Engine or GPU. No image data is sent to any external service.
Optional Downloads
Certain features require downloading model weights or content packs from our servers:
- Film Pack (~2 MB of LUT files)
- AI Denoise shader weights (~640 KB)
- SAM 2.1 Tiny segmentation models (~76 MB)
These downloads are initiated by the user and are the only network requests the App makes. We log standard web server access data (IP address, timestamp, file requested) for these downloads. No personal information is transmitted.
Subscription and Purchase Data
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Apple's privacy policy governs the handling of purchase data.
Website
The chromaform.art website does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. If you subscribe to our mailing list, we store your email address and the date you subscribed. We use this solely to send product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing questions@chromaform.art.
Third-Party Services
Chromaform does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The App does not contain ads.
Children's Privacy
Chromaform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
